Stepping up its level of competition, the Saint Joseph's men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Ivy League powerhouse Princeton at the Jadwin Gym tennis courts. Junior Chris Spencer was the only Hawk to extend a match beyond two sets.
The Tigers opened the afternoon by winning the doubles point with 8-4, 8-2 and 8-4 victories at the first though third doubles slots.
Princeton won five singles matches in straight sets. Only Spencer was able to wrestle away a set at fifth singles before falling a in a super tie-breaker, 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (7-3).
