AMBLER, Pa. -
The Saint Joseph's men's tennis fell to Stony Brook by a 7-0 score on Friday night at the Upper Dublin Sports Center.
Despite not earning any points, head coach Ian Crookenden saw some positives in his team's performance.
"We lost, but there were definite signs of life against a very strong team," the third-year head man said.
Sophomore Alex Veronis (number one singles) and junior Peter Cognetti (number four) pushed both of their singles matches to supertiebreakers, while sophomore Tommy Gates fell in tiebreaks in both sets at third singles.
The Hawks return to action next Sunday, February 27 at 8:00 a.m. for a matchup with UMBC at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center.
