ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Joseph's golf team opened play at the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship on Friday as the Hawks posted a first round score of 309 (+21) on the Nicklaus Course at Reunion Resort.

How It Happened
• As a team, Saint Joseph's is in 12th place after the opening round of the conference championship.
• Individually, Keller Mulhern paced the Hawks with a three-over-par 75 (+3) and finished the day tied for 29th.
• Thomas Larkin is tied for 41st place after an opening-round 77 (+5).
• J.T. Spina posted a score of 78 (+6) and is tied for 46th.
• Christian Matt ended the day a stroke behind Spina at 79 (+7) and is tied for 49th.
• Matt Zerfass rounded out the Hawks' five-man squad with a score of 84 (+12) and is in 60th place.
• Davidson holds the team lead by six strokes at 284 (-4).
• Davidson's Will Davis and Dayton's Ben Cors are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 68 (-4).
• The 2023 A-10 Championship is being held at the par 72, 7,219-yard Reunion Resort.
