COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Saint Joseph's field hockey team is ranked 15^th in this week's National Field Hockey Coaches Association Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
 
The Hawks split a pair of games over the weekend, blanking American by a 1-0 score before falling to then-#10 Maryland, 1-0, on a goal in the final seconds.
 
Maryland held steady in the poll at #10, while previous opponent Penn State moved up a slot to #16.  The Hawks have one currently-ranked team remaining on the schedule, as they will visit Liberty, which moved up three slots to #6, on October 19.
 
Saint Joseph's opens both its home slate and its Atlantic 10 schedule on Friday with a game against Saint Louis.  That kicks off a four-game homestand that features games against Louisville on September 21, Delaware on September 24, and Lehigh on September 26.
