Tricia Purcell begins her fourth year as associate athletics director for campus recreation and special events in 2025-26.
Purcell joins the Hawks’ Athletics Department having spent the past seven years with the campus recreation department at USciences. Originally joining USciences as the assistant director of recreation in 2015, Purcell was promoted to director of student activities and campus recreation in 2019. In her new role at St. Joe’s, Purcell will oversee the seamless continuity of the Hawks’ campus recreation across both the Hawk Hill and University City campuses, along with overseeing all rentals of the ARC facility on the University City Campus.
An experienced administrator, Purcell served as associate director of facilities at Penn for more than five years before heading to USciences. She additionally worked as the assistant director of wellness and programs at Delaware State and fitness coordinator at Temple.
A three-year letterwinner with the softball program at Bloomsburg, Purcell earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2003 and received her master’s degree in sport management from East Stroudsburg in 2005.
