Men's basketball walk-on Eric Kindler helps us celebrate the first day of the college basketball season by occupying the hot seat. He shares his thoughts on what brought him to SJU, where he'd go for a week away from Hawk Hill, and how many chicken wings he thinks he can eat (trust us, it makes sense).

2012-13: Earned recognition on the NABC Honors Court for academic excellence... Received the team's George Senesky Academic Award... Named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Saint Joseph's Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Hit season-high three points and added one steal in just two minutes in A-10 win over Rhode Island... Recorded first basket of season to go with one assist and one steal in one minute of play in A-10 win over Fordham... Saw action in wins over Penn and Harvard... Made SJU debut against Yale... Made the Hawks' squad as a walk-on... Transferred to Saint Joseph's in 2011-12 after playing his freshman season at Canisius.

2010-11: Played in 13 games at Canisius, making one start.

High School/Personal: Pennsylvania All-State selection while at Trinity High School... Scored over 1,600 career points... Averaged 20.0 points per game as a senior... Named to the All-District III First Team for three consecutive years... Was also an All-Conference selection in football... Older brother Nick plays football at West Virginia... Theology major.
