The Saint Joseph's Sports Medicine Department serves the student-athlete population through the prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
The Sports Medicine Department works closely with team physicians to provide the student-athletes with the best medical care possible. Team orthopedists Christopher Kester DO, Alfonso Arevalo DO, David Rubenstein MD and Brian Fliegel DO, non-operative sports medicine physicians Kevin DuPrey DO and Emily Levy MD (
www.mainlinehealth.org). Weekly Athletic Training Room visits for Orthopedics occur on Wednesday afternoons, Primary Care Sports Medicine on Monday afternoons. In addition to physician visits, Ian Shadle, a physical therapist provided through MainLine Health Rehabilitation, is on campus to treat the entire University community Monday through Friday.
The Athletics Center Athletic Training Room is located on the ground floor of the Athletics Center adjacent to Hagan Arena. It is located between the Maguire Athletic Center and the weight room. Hours of operation are as follows Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Weekend and evening hours are dependent upon teams practice and game schedule.
The O'Pake Athletic Training Room is located on the lower level of the O'Pake Athletics Center. It is located between the men's and women's locker rooms. Operating hours are dependent on teams practice and game schedule.
