Women's Rowing Seeks Newcomers; Meeting on August 28

The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team is inviting SJU students, who are former high school athletes, to try out for this year's team. An informational meeting for all those interested will be held on Wednesday, August 28 at 5:00 p.m. in The Perch in Simpson Hall. No previous rowing experience is needed.

Women's rowing is a Division I varsity sport at Saint Joseph's, and competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Being a member of the Hawks provides you with opportunities that include competing regionally, nationally and internationally. Practice for the first-year student-athletes will be in the afternoons, following classes.

Many former high school athletes have continued their athletic careers at the NCAA level by joining the Hawks and experiencing great success as members of the SJU women's rowing program.

If you cannot make the meeting but are interested in joining, please contact head coach Gerry Quinlan at: gquinlan@sju.edu.
