The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team lost to the Penn Quakers on Wednesday, falling by a 6-1 score in the match held at Penn's Levy Tennis Pavilion. Freshman Will Pearson won his match at third singles to provide SJU with its only point.
Pearson defeated Penn's Justin Fox at third singles, winning 6-7 (8), 6-4, 12-10 (super tiebreaker). He then teamed with senior Phil Garabedian at first singles, but the pair fell to Penn's duo, 8-1.
The Hawks return to competition on Saturday, February 2, with matches against Saint Peter's and La Salle.
