Facing arguably its toughest competition of the spring, the Saint Joseph's women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought match to city-rival Temple, 7-0, Friday afternoon.
Temple (12-5) gained the first point of the match, winning all three doubles matches.
Switching to singles play, the Hawks fought hard, but fell to the Owls in all six individual matches.
The Hawks return to action March 31 versus Saint Peter's.
