RICHMOND, Va. -
The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team took to outdoor courts for the first time this spring as the Hawks fell to Richmond, 5-2, on a cool Friday afternoon.
The Hawks earned points at #4 and #6 singles as Nick Tuxen won his fourth-flight match, 6-1, 6-4, over Richmond's A.J. Nelson and Lucho Perez-Abreu took down Justin Baker, 6-3, 6-4.
SJU's record drops to 2-6 for the spring.
The Hawks will remain in Richmond to take on highly-regarded Atlantic 10 foe Charlotte on Sunday morning.
