Women's Tennis Earns Impressive Win at Towson, 4-3

TOWSON, Md. - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team opened team play with a big win Tuesday as the Hawks topped Towson for their first win over the Tigers since 2003-04. Saint Joseph's got four singles win to earn the 4-3 win.

The Hawks opened the match with an 8-3 win in the top doubles flight. Junior Casey Robinson and sophomore Devi Jadeja teamed for the win, but the Tigers won the other two matches to earn the first point.

Switching to singles, Robinson earned a 6-4, 6-3 win at the top flight while freshman Aurora Davis dropped the first set, but came back to win, 5-7, 6-0, 6-2. Freshman Lauren Roy, playing at fifth singles, posted a 6-0, 6-2 with senior Kate Dowd earning the win for SJU with a 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 6 singles.
