BETHLEHEM, Pa. -
The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team had its winning streak ended on Sunday afternoon as Lehigh emerged with a 6-1 victory over the Hawks. Tommy Gates earned the lone point for SJU, notching a victory in the third singles flight.
Gates defeated Lehigh's Matt Savran, 6-7 (3), 6-3, 11-9 in a super tiebreak. He also partnered with Kristian Broaddus at third doubles but fell by a 9-7 score.
The Hawks will be back in action at home on Thursday, March 24, with a 3:00 p.m. match against Fairleigh Dickinson.
