ORLANDO, Fla. -
The Saint Joseph's men's tennis squad fell to Monmouth, 4-3, in the opening match of its annual spring break trip to Orlando on Tuesday afternoon.
Monmouth won the doubles point, taking wins in the first two flights. MU also won the top two singles flights as well, but SJU rallied for wins in the third, fifth, and sixth flights.
Unfortunately for the Crimson and Gray, Monmouth locked up the result with a win in the fourth singles flight.
Saint Joseph's takes on Creighton on Wednesday before closing out the trip with a Thursday showdown against South Dakota State.
