The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team battled through a tough match on Sunday afternoon but eventually came away with a 4-3 victory over visiting Lehigh at the SJU Tennis Complex.
Saint Joseph's secured the first point of the day, taking the doubles point thanks to victories in the second and third flights.
In singles play, Lehigh won both the first- and second-flight matches, but SJU got a win from Dan Barrus in the third flight before freshmen Max Montague and Pierre Brondeau took their fifth- and sixth-flight matches, respectively, to secure the victory for Saint Joseph's.
The Hawks are back on the court on Wednesday afternoon as they host Villanova at the SJU Tennis Complex.
