The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team to Atlantic 10 foe Temple, 6-1, Thursday afternoon at the SJU Tennis Complex.
Playing the singles matches first, the Hawks got on the board with a three-set win by freshman Aurora Davis. The rookie downed the Owls' Alicia Doms 2-6, 6-4, 11-9. Junior Casey Robinson forced a three set tie break with Yana Mavrina, but eventually fell in the super tiebreaker, 6-2, 3-6, 10-5.
Temple would pick up wins at the other four singles flights, while the doubles matches were defaulted to Temple as they were not contested.
The Hawks return to action this Saturday at Niagara. Match time is set for 5 p.m.
