PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team will close out the season at the 2012 Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta on Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12 on the Schuylkill River.

The Hawks will compete in the Varsity 8, the Second Varsity 8, Lightweight 8 and Varsity 4 events. Heats for the Varsity 4 and Varsity 8 will take place on Friday morning.

By competing in the event, Saint Joseph's seniors will miss the University's Commencement on Saturday, but received their degrees in a special ceremony on Wednesday evening.

WPVI (6ABC) will provide television coverage of the finals on Saturday, with live-cut-ins at the top of every hour beginning at 1 p.m. For continuing coverage of all the final races rowing fans can go to 6ABC.com/ESPN3.com. Saint Joseph's Hall of Famer and Olympic rower Renee Hykel will serve as the color analyst for the races.
