 | Greetings from Hawk Hill, What a remarkable month it has been.? They call it March Madness and that was certainly the case here on campus, as all of our spring teams were in competition and our men's and women's basketball teams both advanced to the NCAA Tournament. On behalf of the entire SJU community, we would like to particularly congratulate the men's basketball team for capturing the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the women's team for advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in Storrs, Conn. These achievements create memories that will last a lifetime, not only for the players and coaches who participate, but everyone associated with the University. In addition to basketball, our spring teams traveled across the country representing SJU in competition in locations far and wide, including California, Puerto Rico, Florida, North Carolina and Michigan, just to mention a few. Aside from competition, we are also extremely pleased by the work of our student-athletes in the classroom. ? Balancing their academic and athletic requirements is a challenge and I commend them for their hard work.
? I'd like to draw particular attention to the 82 student-athletes who were named to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for carrying a 3.5 grade point average in the most recent semester. Thank you again for your loyalty and support of SJU Athletics.? I hope to see you at a game, meet, race, match, banquet or University function over the coming weeks. Go Hawks!
