MERION STATION, - The final day of the SJU Women's Tennis Invitational will see several Hawks playing for flight titles after a busy day Saturday during the second round. Final day action begins at 8:30 a.m. at both Finnesey Courts and the SJU Tennis Complex.
At the second doubles flight, Anne Marie Devlin and Arianne Polatnick open play at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow in the semifinals after posting an 8-3 win in today's quarterfinals. Rookies Robyn Ferraro and Maureen Devlin will have a shot for the second doubles consolation title as they won in a walkover on Saturday. They will open play in the semifinals at 8:30 a.m.
In the top singles flight, senior Aurora Davis took advantage of her opening round bye as she posted a 6-3, 6-4 win in the quarterfinals. She will begin play in the semifinals at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Junior Kristina Eisenbrand will begin play in the first singles consolation bracket quarterfinals at 11 a.m.
Sophomore Alex Zachem will open play in the second singles consolation quarterfinals at 11:00 a.m., while Ferraro will close out the Hawks in action as she also play at 11:00 a.m. in the third singles consolation quarterfinals.
