RICHMOND, Va. - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell at Atlantic 10 foe Richmond, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.
Playing just singles matches, the Hawks got competitive efforts in all matches, but the host Spiders proved to be too much. Claire Minnoe and Arianne Polatnick had matches in progress when the match was decided with Richmond taking wins at the second, third, fourth and sixth flights.
"A strong conference opponent handled SJu efficiently and with out providing any casual opportunities for our players to take advantage of," said Hawks head coach Ian Crookenden. "Weather determined a clinch match situation and the better team on the day prevailed."
The Hawks (4-11) return to action at George Mason on Sunday at noon.
