ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Saint Joseph's sophomore Ross Pilliod finished in a tie for third place and the Hawks' golf team finished in 10th place at the rain-shortened Navy Fall Invitational.
Originally scheduled for two rounds, Monday's final round of the Navy Fall Invitational was cancelled due to rain making Sunday's scores stand as the final results.
Playing at the Naval Academy Golf Course (par 71), Pilliod fired a one-under-par 70 and finished just two strokes behind the leaders at 68.
As a team Hawks posted a score of 297 with Wagner claiming the title at 283.
Individually, rookie Reed Winkler tied for 16th after shooting 72, while senior Drew Taylor tied for 49th at 77. Sophomore Tyler Sokolis posted a 78 and tied for 54th, while freshman Michael O'Brien shot 79 and tied for 63rd.
Saint Joseph's returns to action September 25 and 26 at the George Mason Patriot Intercollegiate.
