LORTON, Va. - The Saint Joseph's golf team is tied for 10th after Sunday's opening round of the Patriot Intercollegiate.
Playing at the Laurel hills Golf Course (par 68/6,897 yards), the Hawks posted a score of 296 and is tied with High Point. Eastern Kentucky holds the team lead at 285 in the 21-team field.
Individually, Tyler Sokolis is tied for 23rd after shooting 73, while Drew Taylor and Michael O'Brien are tied in 32nd place a shot behind at 74. Ross Pilliod is tied for 47th at 75, with Reed Winkler rounding out the five-man squad with a 78 to tie for 82nd.
Will Sallee of Bethune-Cookman and Will Sallee of Eastern Kentucky are tied for the individual lead at 68.
The final day of the three-round tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
