MALVERN, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's golf team carded a score of 298 and are tied for 11th after Monday's opening round of the Wildcat Invitational.
Playing at the White Manor Country Club (par 71), senior Drew Taylor, sophomore Ross Pilliod and freshman Michael O'Brien each posted scores fof 74 to lead the Hawks. Junior Tyler Sokolis is two shots behind after shooting 76 in Monday's first round, while Richard Riva rounded out the five-man squad at 77.
Delaware holds the team lead by a stroke at 284, with Navy' Thomas Fricke and Cleveland State's Patrick Luthe tied for the individual lead at 68.
The final round of the Wildcat Invitational is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
