PRINCETON, N.J. - The Saint Joseph's golf team posted a score of 309-295/604 in the opening day of the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. Individually, Ross Pilliod is tied for 21st after a score of 75-72/147.
Playing at the par-71 Springdale Golf Club (6,380 yards), the Hawks enter Saunday's final round 12th in the field of 14.
Senior Drew Taylor is tied for 40th at 77-74/151, with Tyler Sokolis a shot behind in a tie for 46th at 79-73/152. Rookie Michael O'Brien is tied with classmate Richard Riva with scores of 78-79/157 and 81-76/157, respectively.
Minnesota holds the team lead by two strokes over Princeton at 573, while Seton Hall's Lloyd Jefferson Go has a three-strokes lead for individuals at 134.
