Taylor Wray is thrilled to announce the addition of local standout face-off specialist
Ryan Culp to the 2020 roster. With the addition of Culp, the true-freshman class grows to 18 in time for the spring season.
A four-year varsity letterwinner and two-year team captain at Cardinal O'Hara, Culp is coming off of an outstanding senior season after going 84 percent (366-of-434) from the X with 36 goals and 31 assists en route to 2019 Philadelphia Catholic League Most Valuable Player recognition and a 16-5 team record. A two-time PCL First-Team face-off specialist and two-time All-Delco face-off specialist, Culp went 78 percent (251-of-323) from the X as a junior and earned the David Mojica Lacrosse Award as a sophomore. He will major in accounting on Hawk Hill.
Culp rounds out a quartet of SJU face-off specialists in returners
Zach Cole and
Billy Jardeleza and fellow newcomer
Michael Carere.
The Hawks open the 2020 regular season on Saturday, February 8 at St. Bonaventure.
