How It Happened
Q1 & Q2 – Army's Brendan Nichtern scored his first of four goals on the day at the 12:58 mark of the first quarter. Fable equalized at 12:24, but the Black Knights tore off on an 8-0 run to close the half with a 9-1 advantage. Army outshot St. Joe's 24-12 in the first half, landing 15 of those shots on goal. Cole went 8-of-12 from the X while Zullo made six saves in the opening 30:00.

Q3 – Saint Joseph's junior midfielder Ryan Doran (9:44, assisted by sophomore attackman Levi Anderson) and Fable (9:11) scored 33 seconds apart to open the third and close SJU's deficit to six goals, 9-3, but Nichtern responded with a pair (5:52, 2:18) to send Army into the fourth quarter back on top by eight, 11-3. Almany came in to make three of his four saves in the third quarter.

Q4 – Bohmer scored both of SJU's goals in the fourth to open (13:48, assisted by junior midfielder Tucker Brown) and close (:17) the final quarter. However, Nichtern and Army's Nicholas Garofano tacked on two more in between Bohmer's pair en route to Army's 13-5 victory.
