A five-run bottom of the seventh propelled the Saint Joseph's softball team to a 6-5 victory over Army West Point in game two of its doubleheader on Saturday at the SJU Softball Field. The Hawks and Black Knights split their doubleheader as Army West Point won the opener, 8-0, in six innings.
How it Happened
Game Two
• A two-out, two-run double by Ellie Caldwell gave Army West Point a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.
• Caldwell came around to score to make it 3-0 as Leila Hurst followed with a double to rightfield.
• A double by Megan Muffet in the top of the third scored Angelina Bebek to extend Army West Point's lead to 4-0.
• Kaci Donaldson extended the Black Knight's lead to 5-0 in the top of the sixth with a solo home run to left field.
• Saint Joseph's got on the board in the bottom of the sixth as 
Kirstin Cox tripled and scored on a wild pitch to make it 5-1.
• Down to their final at-bat, the Hawks rallied with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, scoring five runs.
• With the bases loaded, Cox doubled to short centerfield, scoring 
Nicole Bondoc and 
Jordan Hinkle to make it 5-3.
• 
Molly Kapala followed with a double to right-center, scoring Cox and 
Sarah Ostaszewski to tie the game at 5-5.
• 
Caela Abadie delivered the winning run as she singled to left field, allowing Kapala to score from second base.
Game One
• Army West Point took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third on a two-run double by Muffet.
• Jolie Duong extended the Black Knights' lead to 3-0 in the top of the fourth with a RBI double that scored Grace Snyder.
• Caldwell led off the top of the fifth with a solo home run to push Army West Point's advantage to 4-0.
• A sacrifice fly by Donaldson with the bases loaded scored Muffet to make it 5-0 later in the fifth. 
• A two-out single by Snyder capped a four-run inning for Army West Point as Sage Peters and Hurst scored to make it 7-0.
• A bloop single into left-center by Peters gave the Black Knights an 8-0 lead as Bebek scored from second.
Inside The Boxscore
• Cox finished the day 5-for-6 with two runs scored and two RBI.
• Kapala was 3-for-4 in game two with a run scored and two RBI.
• 
Ashley Stokes picked up the victory in game two as she allowed one earned run on two hits over 3.0 innings of relief.
• 
Amanda Herr, who came on in relief in game one and started game two, tossed 5.0 innings in total, allowing one earned run and striking out a pair.
