Second-Half Onslaught Carries Women's Lacrosse Past St. Bonaventure, 18-4

OLEAN, N.Y. – What was a three-goal game at halftime turned into a rout as the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team poured in 12 second-half goals en route to an 18-4 victory at St. Bonaventure's Marr Athletics Complex on Sunday afternoon.

Stephanie Kelly turned in her second consecutive five-goal game, while Bridget Cerciello scored four times and Lauren Figura added three goals of her own.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• It was St. Bonaventure (2-4 overall, 0-2 Atlantic 10) that scored the game's first goal, but the Hawks then ripped off the next five goals, including a pair from Sophia Kolkka and a goal and two assists from Kelly, to make it 5-1 with 8:52 to go in the half.

• After a goal for the Bonnies, Kelly scored her second of the game before the hosts closed to with 6-3 with eight seconds on the clock.

• Saint Joseph's (5-4 overall, 2-0 Atlantic 10) took full and complete control after the break, scoring 12 consecutive goals to put the game well out of reach.  Cerciello, Figura, and Kelly all scored three times during the stretch, while Sam McGee, Riley Delaney, and Lisa Ross got in on the act as well.  The Bonnies would add a consolation goal with less than two minutes to play.
