AMBLER, Pa. – After dropping the doubles point at the start of the night, the Saint Joseph's women's tennis team rallied back to win five out of six singles flights en route to a 5-2 win over Mount St. Mary's at the Upper Dublin Sports Center on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mount St. Mary's (1-1) won two of three doubles flights to grab the early lead.

• Saint Joseph's (3-0) bounced back in singles play, as Amanda Nava and Stow Weiss cruised to straight-sets wins in the top two flights to put the Hawks ahead.

• Sophia Amato won her match at love to bring the Hawks to the brink of victory before Fabiana Tort-Umpierre battled back from a set down to win in the third flight and clinch the match and give the Hawks their third consecutive victory to start the season.  Paige Conrad then added a win in the sixth flight to finish off the night.

" It was a very courageous win," head coach Ian Crookenden said.  "After dropping the doubles point, Amanda and Stow stormed back to get us ahead and then Fabiana clinched the victory with a three-set win after dropping the first set.  This was a team coming together and showing great Hawk resilience and fight.  I am extremely proud of tonight's victory."
