NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Recent Saint Joseph's graduate
Shane Devine '21 has been named to the 2021 Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing All-Academic Team, organization officials announced on Thursday.
Rowing stroke for the Varsity 8 this past season, Devine was named to the A-10 All-Conference First Team as she helped the Hawks to a fourth place finish at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, fifth place at the A-10 Championships, and first place at the Jesuit Invitational. A four-year letter winner, Devine was also a standout in the classroom earning A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognition, while graduating this past May with a bachelor's degree in biology and a 3.95 GPA.
The A-10 All-Academic Team was chosen by a vote of the league's rowing media relations directors to recognize student-athletes for their combined prowess in both the classroom and in the boat.
