ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team opened its run at the Joe Hunt Invitational, hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy, on Friday.
In the Blue Singles draw,
Nathan Perrone won his match over George Mason's Rithik Sardana, 6-0, 6-4.Â
Alex MacNeil fell in the Orange draw, 6-3, 6-0, to Mason's Chanason Nakurai.
Three Hawk duos played their initial doubles matches on Friday as well, all taking on pairs from Delaware.Â
Nickolas Frisk and
Alp Sentay were 6-4 winners in the Red Doubles draw, while in the Blue Doubles bracket, Perrone and
Eshan Kanetkar fell 6-0; MacNeil and
Nassim Fenjiro suffered a 6-4 defeat in the White draw.
Play continues at the Naval Academy on Saturday.
