PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team (3-5-0, 1-0-0 A-10) will host Massachusetts (5-2-1, 0-1-0 A-10) on Saturday and Hofstra (6-1-0) on Tuesday at Sweeney Field. Kickoff will come at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
 
ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:
  • The Hawks are riding a two-game winning streak after defeating George Mason and Princeton.
  • Rookie Blake Driehuis, junior James Fletcher, and graduate student Matias Mancini lead the Crimson & Gray in points (5) and goals (2).
  • The trio pace the team that has seen eight different goal scorers this season.
  • Graduate students Omry Perel and Alvin Dahn lead the Hawks with a pair of assists each.
  • Sophomore Luis Ludosan (2-2-0) has started the past four games in net. He has 24 saves on the year with a .77 save percentage and 1.75 goals against average.
ABOUT UMASS:
  • The Minutemen enter Saturday's match at 5-2-1 overall and 0-1-0 in league play.
  • UMass' lone Atlantic 10 match was a 3-2 loss to #24 Saint Louis.
  • Filippo Begliardi Ghidini has a team high 10 points on four goals and two assists.
  • Joe Leslie sits one point behind with nine on four goals and one assist.
  • Nine different minutemen have recorded a point on the season with eight scoring goals.
  • Marvyn Dorchin (5-2-1) has played every second in net this year and holds a 1.06 goals against average with 29 saves on a .76 save percentage.
ABOUT HOFSTRA:
  • The Pride are currently on a three-game winning streak and will take on William & Mary on Saturday before making the trip to Philadelphia on Tuesday.
  • Matthew Vowinkel leads Hofstra with nine points on four scores and one assist. He's one of seven players to tally a score for the Pride this season.
  • Wessel Speel (6-1-0) is the starting keeper for Hofstra. He boasts a 0.71 goals against average, 25 saves, and a .83 save percentage.
