Alejandro Vedri advanced to the second round of the Silver singles draw on Thursday as the Saint Joseph's men's tennis team continued play at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Virginia.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Vedri won a three-setter against Matt Harper of Virginia Tech to advance to Friday's second round.

Justus Agbo and
Nassim Fenjiro were victorious against players from Georgetown and George Mason, respectively, in their consolation matches.

Inigo Diaz fell to Kaipo Marshall of Duquesne with a spot in the Silver draw on the line.
UP NEXT
Vedri will meet sixth-seeded Charl Morgan of Penn State on Friday, needing two wins to reach the Gold Draw. Doubles action continues on Friday as well.
