ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team finished off its Spring Break trip to Florida in style on Friday, knocking off Southern Miss by a 4-3 score.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's won the doubles point with wins in the top two flights.  Nickolas Frisk and Nathan Perrone were 6-3 winners in the first flight before Justus Agbo and Alp Sentay's 6-4 second-flight win clinched the point.
 
• Southern Miss took the lead with a pair of singles wins, but Nassim Fenjiro won in the fifth to draw the Hawks level before Perrone finished off his top-flight opponent to bring the Hawks to the brink of a win.
 
• The Golden Eagles claimed the fourth flight, but Sentay dismissed his third-flight opponent to win the match.
 
HAWK TALK
"Wow, what can I say?  What an amazing day for our team," head coach Marc Pibernat said.  "This win against Southern Miss was one of the biggest wins since my career started on Hawk Hill.  The guys went out and battled in 90-degree Florida heat with amazing energy from start to finish.  A big shoutout to Nate for getting huge wins in both singles and doubles today, also to Nassim for extending his undefeated dual match season to 7-0 in singles play, and finally to Alp.  Alp battled one of the best players from Southern Miss and clinched the match for us.  It was an amazing win for him and especially for the rest of the team.
