Men’s Lacrosse Routs Mount St. Mary’s, 19-6, to Open NEC Play

EMMITSBURG, Va. – With five points apiece from Levi Anderson and Carter Page, Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse routed Mount St. Mary's, 19-6, to open NEC play on Saturday. The Hawks advance to 6-2, 1-0 NEC, while the Mount drops to 3-6, 0-1 NEC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Mount tallied the initial goal of the game before the Hawks went on a 5-1 run to the end of the first up 5-2.
  • SJU widened the gap in the second with a 7-1 advantage, including the first six of the period. The Hawks held a 12-3 lead at the half.
  • St. Joe's held the home team scoreless in the third stanza and scored six to boost the margin to 18-3.
  • Mount St. Mary's scored three times in the final frame and allowed just one score for a 19-6 win for the visitors.
