MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell to Richmond, 4-0, on a blustery Friday afternoon at the SJU Tennis Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Richmond took the doubles point to open play, earning wins in the second and third flights.  Amanda Nava and Stow Weiss claimed their first-flight match, 6-4.

• In singles play, the visitors triumphed in the first three contests to finish and thereby claimed the match victory.

HAWK TALK
"In extremely tough wind conditions, Richmond handed SJU a decisive loss," head coach Ian Crookenden said.  "A competitive doubles point was the highlight of the match and after that we did not play to anywhere near our potential.  Their management of the conditions was far superior and contributed greatly to the result.  I look for a much better result against Rhode Island on Sunday morning."

UP NEXT
The Hawks will host Rhode Island at the SJU Tennis Complex on Sunday.
