The Saint Joseph's softball team fell to Saint Louis, 4-2, in eight innings on Sunday in the finale of its three-game series at SJU Softball Field.
How It Happened
• Saint Joseph's took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first as
Taylor Marinelli scored on a fielding error by Saint Louis on a ball hit by
Sarah Cancila.

Carly Rybinski singled home Cancila to extend the Hawks' lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth.
• A RBI double by Gabbie Kowalik brought the Billikens to within 2-1 in the top of the fifth.
• Three batters later, Cami Newbanks tied the game at 2-2 with a bloop single to center field that allowed Kowalik to score from second.
• Jocelyn Abbott led off the top of the eighth with a solo home run to give Saint Louis a 3-2 lead.
• Kristi Stevenson extended the Billikens' lead to 4-2 with a RBI double that scored Natalie Sullivan.

Emily Siler moved to 7-8 on the season as she allowed four earned runs on six hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out three.
• Rybinski was 1-for-3 with a RBI.
