PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's graduate student Amanda Nava added to her career accolades on Monday as she was named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Women's Tennis Team.

Nava is a four-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection, earning First Team honors in 2018, 2019, and 2022, while garnering Second Team laurels in 2021.  Last month, she became the first Hawk to ever earn four All-Conference honors and the first to be tabbed for the First Team three times.

The Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, native is a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree and has been named to both the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's and SJU Athletic Director's Honor Rolls in each of her first four years on Hawk Hill (honors for 2022 are yet to be announced).  She finished her career with 69 singles victories, good for second in program history; her 52 top-flight singles wins are tied for the most in program history as well.

In order to be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must be in at least her second year at her institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better.  Voting is conducted among the sports information offices of 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
