MERION STATION, Pa. – The 13^th Saint Joseph's Invitational kicked off on Friday at the SJU Tennis Complex.  A number of Hawks earned victories in both singles and doubles competition.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Alejandro Vedri and Inigo Diaz opened play in the top doubles flight with a pair of victories to reach the semifinals.
 
• Both players then moved on to the quarterfinals of the top singles flight, where they will be joined by Nassim Fenjiro as well.
 
• Mark Rubin earned a win in the opening round of the third singles flight, while Eli Gan-Dy won in a supertiebreaker to reach the quarters in the fourth flight; Jack Campbell advanced as wel via a walkover.
