POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The Saint Joseph's golf team capped the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule with a 13th place finish at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
How It Happened
• As a team, the Hawks posted a three-round score of 302-316-304/922 (+70).
• Individually,
Christian Matt shot 69 (-2) on Tuesday to finish tied for 17th with a score of 75-75-69/219 (+6).
•
Matt Zerfass and
Thomas Larkin tied for 56th place with identical scores of 76-80-77/233 (+20).
•
Kevin Smith finished tied for 62nd with a three-round score of 75-81-81/237 (+24).
•
Noah Moelter rounded out the five-man squad with a score of 81-81-85/247 (+34) and finished in 73rd place.
• Drexel won the team title with a three-round score of 290-285-279/854 (+2).
• Drexel's Drue Nicholas captured medalist honors by two strokes with a final score of 71-67-69/207 (-6).
• The ODU/OBX Intercollegiate was held at the par-71 Kilmarlic Golf Club (6,563 yards).
