PHILADELPHIA – For the second consecutive match, the Saint Joseph's women's tennis team rallied back from a 3-1 deficit to earn a win, this time getting past Mount St. Mary's, 4-3, at the Legacy Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's (3-1) took the early lead via the doubles point.  After the visitors claimed flight number one, Ana Ocasio and Kirsten Wijnsema leveled things with a win in the second flight before Emily Elliott and Charlotte Kordonowy won the third flight in a tiebreaker to secure the point.
 
• Mount St. Mary's (1-2) took a commanding lead through the first half of singles play, as the Mountaineers drew level with a point in the second flight before taking the first and fourth flights to move within a point of the overall triumph.
 
• That's when the Hawks once again went to work, and once again it was Fabiana Tort-Umpierre playing a big role, as she came back from a set down to win in the third flight and get SJU within one.
 
• Ireland Amato cruised in the sixth flight, dropping just a single game, to tie the match before Elliott secured a win in the fifth to give the Hawks their second come-from-behind win in as many Saturdays.

"Another gritty performance; winning the doubles point was key," head coach Ian Crookenden said.  "I am delighted with how the squad is jelling."
