PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team returned to the court on Saturday with a 7-0 win over Mount St. Mary's at the Legacy Indoor Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's (2-1) took the doubles point with a pair of victories.  Inigo Diaz and Nassim Fenjiro were winners in the third flight while Mark Rubin and Oscar Serra sealed things with a win in the second.
 
• The Hawks rolled through singles with five straight-sets wins.  Alejandro Vedri doubled the early lead with a win in the first flight before Diaz won in the third and Serra won at love in the sixth to seal the overall victory.
 
• Fenjiro added a point with a win in the fourth flight, while Rubin was winner in the fifth and Justus Agbo battled back from a set down to take the second.

"A great win for us against a team that gave us a lot of difficulties, especially in doubles; we won the doubles point but it could have gone either way," head coach Marc Pibernat said.  "I am very happy with the response and performance from all the guys in their singles matches.  A big shoutout to our freshman, Mark Rubin, who not only clinched the doubles point with Oscar Serra, but also earned his first singles win in a dual match.
 
"We have a very important week coming up for us and it is very important to start Monday very strong to set the tone for what is coming at us."
