NORFOLK, Va. – Saint Joseph's women's rowing team posted victories in all three of its races versus Old Dominion on Saturday on the Lafayette River.

How It Happened
• The Hawks' Varsity 4 of C-Kacie Kershaw, 4-Kristen Szoldatits, 3-Jillian Gallagher, 2-Cecilia Sarnowski, 1-Brooke Freund opened the day with a superb race as they finished in a time of 9:30.3 to best Old Dominion by more than six seconds.
• Saint Joseph's 2nd Varsity 8 of C-Susan Mbombab, 8-Kelsey Menshon, 7-Emily Hruska, 6-Catherine McGonigle, 5-Farah Konschak, 4-Jaylin Moore, 3-Katie Schmidt, 2-Kayla Menshon, 1-Haley Hukari took control of the race in the second 250, and was able to dictate the course of the race from there in winning in a time of 7:53.4.
• In a back-and-forth race, the Hawks' Varsity 8 of C- Anna Gambescia, 8-Julia Ianieri, 7-Riley McDade, 6-Aislinn O'Brien, 5-Allison Ruck, 4-Hannah Ashcraft, 3-Michaela Mulkerrins, 2-Anna Martin, 1-Emma Staple was able to open water on ODU in the last 500 for the win in a time of 7:36.5.

"It was great way to cap a very hard spring racing camp week with wins across the board. We are really proud of our execution and aggressiveness," said head coach Gerry Quinlan. "Thanks to the ODU coaches and team for hosting us. They were very hospitable, and we are looking forward to coming back again."
