MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team tied with Morgan State, 3-3, in a match halted by darkness on Sunday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Morgan State won the doubles point with wins in the second and third flights.  Inigo Diaz and Alejandro Vedri won their first-flight match at love, but the Bears ultimately came away with the point.
 
• Diaz got the Hawks on the board when his third-flight opponent retired early in the first set, while Justus Agbo gave the Hawks the lead with a 6-3, 6-1 lead in the second flight.
 
• Nassim Fenjiro notched a 6-2, 6-1 win in the fourth flight, but the Bears drew level with wins in the sixth and first flights.
 
• Oscar Serra fought back from a set down and led in the third set of his fifth-flight match, but ultimately it would be darkness that prevailed and prevented the completion of the match.

HAWK TALK
"Today it was all about the seniors and making this matchday special for them," head coach Marc Pibernat said.  "We had a good performance overall and it was unfortunate that we couldn't finish the match because of how dark it was getting.  It would have been another match played down to the wire as it was 3-3 with one match left to finish.
