RICHMOND, Va. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team kicked off its final weekend of regular season matches on Friday, falling at Richmond, 7-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The host Spiders took the doubles point with a sweep of all three matches.
Emily Elliott and
Fabiana Tort-Umpierre took their second-flight match to a tiebreaker before ultimately succumbing.
• Richmond finished off the win with victories in all six singles flights.
Charlotte Kordonowy came back from a set down to force a tiebreaker in the second flight before her opponent eventually prevailed.

Ian Crookenden said. "We had bright spots at number-two doubles and singles; it was one of those matches where a better team proved it."
