PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team traveled across town to take part in the opening day of play at the Cissie Leary Invitational at Penn on Friday.
The Hawks played singles matches against players from UConn while matching up in doubles tilts with groups from both UConn and Villanova.
Claudia Perez-Garcia and
Victoria Tracey earned a win in one of those doubles matches, taking an 8-5 result in the top flight against a duo from Villanova.
