HARRISONBURG, Va. – Saint Joseph's
Riley York went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI to help lead the Hawks past Binghamton, 4-2, in Sunday's first game of the Weiler Orthodontics Tournament. The Hawks capped the weekend with a strong effort, but fell to James Madison, 16-5, in five innings.
How It Happened - Game One
• Allison L'Amoreaux gave Binghamton a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with a RBI single.
• L'Amoreaux came around to score later in the inning on a RBI double by Elisa Allen to make it 2-0.
• York cut the deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the second with a solo home run.

Hailey Malito doubled home
Kayla Tauber to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth.
• York broke the tie in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run triple that scored Malito and Tauber to make it 4-2.

Jules Scogna and the Hawks' defense retired Binghamton in order to close out the seventh.
Inside The Boxscore - Game One
• York connected on her first home run of the season, and added a run scored.
• Tauber was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
• Malito was 2-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI.
• Scorgna picked up the win, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings of relief to improve to 1-1.

How It Happened - Game Two
• James Madison jumped out to a 6-0 lead with a run in the first and five in the second.
• The Hawks got on the board in the top of the third as
Sierra Fretz scored on a sacrifice fly by Tauber to make it 6-1.
• James Madison answered with 10 runs in the bottom of the inning to open a 16-1 edge.
• St. Joe's battled back as the Hawks scored four runs in the top of the fourth to make it 16-5.

Haley McMenamin scored the first run on a wild pitch, while Fretz scored on a RBI single by
Gianna Muhaw.
• Tauber singled home Muhaw and
Sarah Cancila later in the innings.
• James Madison would allow the Hawks to get any closer.
