PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team fell to local rival Drexel, 4-0, at the Vidas Courts on Thursday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Drexel earned wins in the first two doubles flights to secure the first point of the day.
Justus Agbo and
Stergios Achilleas Papadopoulos were in a battle in the third flight, trailing 5-4, when play was halted.
• In singles play,
Othman Bezzaz was on the cusp of a third-flight win, leading 6-4, 5-0, and
Ernesto Ruy had split a pair of 6-4 sets in the second flight, but the Dragons were able to finish off three matches to earn the required points for victory.
UP NEXT
The Hawks are idle until Tuesday, April 16, when they visit Morgan State.
