HAMPTON, Va. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team opened its three-day stay in Virginia on Friday, falling to Hampton, 4-2, at Neilson-Screen Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's took the lead via the doubles point.
John Butler and
Eli Gan-Dy won at love in the second flight before
Othman Bezzaz and
Ernesto Ruy took a 6-3 result in the first.
• Gan-Dy blanked his opponent in the sixth singles flight as well to double the advantage for the Hawks, but the Pirates won the remaining four completed matches to gain the overall victory.
UP NEXT
The Hawks visit VCU on Saturday and Richmond on Sunday.
