PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team's 3rd Varsity 8 won bronze to cap a strong performance by the Hawks in Saturday's Grand Finals of the 2024 Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta.
How It Happened
• The 3rd Varsity 8 opened the afternoon's racing for the Hawks as it battled in the five-boat Grand Final to cross the finish line in 6:25.788 and capture the bronze medal.
• In a highly-competitive 2nd Varsity Grand Final, Saint Joseph's challenged local rivals Temple, Drexel and La Salle as the Hawks completed the course in 6:16.662 to claim fourth place.
• Competing for the Richard O'Brien Trophy in the final race of the event, Saint Joseph's Varsity 8 powered through the finish line in a time of 6:04.594 to place fifth.
